The Yearbook
A devastating fire tore through Eldermere Preparatory School’s 15-year reunion. The flames are out, but the truth is still out there, buried in the ashes.
It's time to find out what happened, Detective.

This was really good, all round! The villian of the story is unfortunately a bit stereotypical, which was not my favorite, and the report was too sharp a curve in difficulty from the previous challenge. Perhaps locking in the answers by paragraph would be a closer match? In particular, I got hung up on "ended up trapped and..." as the answer was more subjective and dramatic than I felt appropriate for the report.
All in all, I found the gameplay very engaging, and I was locked in to complete it to the end.
Thanks very much for playing! Your feedback is definitely welcome. We'll give it some thought when making the final version of the game.
The Yearbook was developed in a relatively short time for a jam, and currently has that level of polish, but we plan to include an additional layer of gameplay between the identification of the bodies and the report that should flatten the curve a little bit.
This game was really good! Reminded me a lot of Return of the Obra Dinn. I'd be down for seeing more of this story, as the ending hints at :)
Thanks very much. Being compared with Obra Dinn, even remotely, is a true honor. We are really glad you enjoyed it!!!
I just completed my first playthrough and just wow!
It took me a little bit to get used to the environment but once I got the hang of it I couldn't put the game down. I love the way you hid all those clues in the yearbook.
I would say your game wasn't too difficult, just challenging enough to keep me busy for about an hour and wanting to get to the end.
Thanks very much for your comment. We are glad the game kept you interested. We plan to extend it in the future, so stay tuned for updates! :)
Interesting! The report is not so clear though.
Thanks for the feedback! The report is meant to be a little more difficult than identifying the bodies. :) To complete it you need to be able to explain what happened based on the evidence you have.
If you're stuck, please feel free to post any specific questions here (with some sort of spoiler tag) or just PM us!
I finished the game 😀. From non native English speaker, the diminutives where the hardest part. And yes the report is slightly harder until you read the clue of the vet van. Overall it is interesting.if it is easy for you to generate these kind of puzzles you can do a platform and sell them.
Sounds like a plan... :D
Thanks very much for playing and for the feedback!
