Important gameplay tips
Four Full Moons can take a little bit to understand with all the different characters and actions available to the player. But fear not! Here's a short guide to the game endings, to the Ritual ingredients, and to what everyone does in our favorite town.
Game endings
You get the "good" ending if you collect all five ritual ingredients and perform the ritual on a full moon. All other endings are bad, including:
- The militia will kill you if both your infamy and the militia strength exceed the trigger threshold simultaneously (the trigger threshold is the white line in each of the progress bars).
- You die of thirst if your thirst exceeds the trigger threshold.
- You also lose if you run out of time.
- You can get killed instantly by the hunter, by the veteran, and by the werewolf/outcast under different circumstances.
Ritual items
- Blood of the Virgin. Obtained by killing The Virgin (The Virgin is aways a peasant).
- Marrow of a Vampire Slayer. Obtained by killing the inquisitor.
- Bloodleaf Herb. Obtained by killing the farmer.
- Ashes of a Burned Down Church. Obtained by burning down the church.
- Claw of a Dire Beast. Obtained by killing the outcast/werewolf.
The cast
Pic | Role | Perk | Can be fed upon | Can kill you |
| Peasant | One of the peasants is The Virgin. You need to kill The Virgin to collect the Blood of The Virgin ritual ingredient. | Yes | No |
| Snoop | Knows who The Virgin is. Will greatly increase your infamy if you feed on anybody who lives next door from her | Yes | No |
| Blacksmith | Keeps the forge alive. An operational forge makes the militia stronger. | Yes | No |
| Alchemist | Keeps the shop running, which allows you to trade spell ingredients. The shop will stop working if the alchemist dies. | Yes | No |
| Watchman | Checks up on one person every night, which will force you to back down. Will stay home some nights. | Yes | No |
| Farmer | Produces garlic. She makes one character immune to vampire attacks each night while the farm is operational. Killing the farmer grants the Bloodleaf Herb, which you need for the ritual. | Yes | No |
| Outcast | The outcast is secretly a werewolf. You need to kill her to collect the Claw of a Dire Beast for the ritual. She will kill a random peasant every full moon (never The Virgin, though) and can only be fed upon under a new moon. | Yes (new moon) | Yes (full moon) |
| Hunter | The hunter competes with you for deer. He will contribute significant strength to the militia if recruited. Killing all deer in the forest will make him spend his days drinking, which will make him vulnerable to the feed action. | Yes (only when drunk) | Yes (if sober) |
| Veteran | Once your infamy reaches a certain threshold, the veteran will get into alert mode and set out to train people for the militia (one person per night). You won't be able to feed on him from that moment on, but you can still kill him by burning down his house or by casting the death blow spell on him. He is the strongest contributor to the militia together with the inquisitor. | Yes (only if not alert) | Yes (if alert) |
| Inquisitor | The inquisitor cannot be fed upon. He is the strongest contributor to the militia together with the veteran. You need to kill him to collect the Marrow of a Vampire Slayer item for the ritual. Can be killed by burning down his house or by the death blow spell. | No | Not currently (will repel you with a silver cross) |
